They say that they still have many theories to what might have happened to cause this, but they don't know for sure. They have now pinpointed where the problem started: the upper western US.

Lots of fires have been started by candles. There have been many break ins, so people are feeling very vulnerable. Lots of people are without food. People started lining up for gas lastnight, and this afternoon the line was still there, blocks long. Stores are packed with people buying flashlights, batteries and coolers. Subways are closed until atleast Monday. There are lines with people trying to get on trains. The heat is a major concern.

It could be days before the power is back fully.

Huh? But North-Western US never lost power. I thought it was NE US. This is wierd.
