    Oh my goodness gracious.

    *SWOON*

It's hard for me to believe that Kia may of possibly been that small at one time. Amazing.

It looks like Skylar has really taken a liking to the little tykes.

Do the puppies try to treat him like a mommy?

Hehehe, I keep holding the puppies up to Lolly and telling her that she was that small one time. I'm having a hard time imaging any of my animals that small.

Skylar loves the pups. At first, he REALLY wanted to get them out of the way because he still wanted to be the baby. But he's been hanging out with my big tough foster boy kitties, so he is starting to enjoy being bigger and tougher than at least someone in the house. He lets them nurse on him and crawl on him.

Geez, I just got back from the emergency vet. Piper scared me out of my wits.

I was feeding her and she spit out the bottle, and a little came out her nose. It sounded like she was choking a little but that might have been my imagination. I burped her and listened to her lungs to see if I could tell if there was fluid in them. Then she just sort of went limp in my hands and I FREAKED out. I literally screamed, threw the bottle, and took both her and Sebastian to the emergency vet as fast as I could. I was sobbing the whole way there because I knew that she was dead or would be soon. When I got there and we took the sheet off that I had covering the crate, little Piper was just fine. She was crawling around looking for the rest of her meal. Turns out she had just fallen asleep in my hands and I panicked

The vet told me that I didn't do anything wrong and sometimes it just happens that they aspirate.

OMG, aly, I would have rushed the puppette to the ER too!!! of course, after I woke up from my fainting! I'm so glad it was nothing to worry about! I know puppies are so fragile at that age and anything can happen!

Hugs to you and keep on keeping on.

    Skylar is adorable, too!!

Oh my gosh! Aly I just found this thread and am ooohing and aaahing like a crazy person! I, too, wish I lived closer so that I could help out! These puppies are just precious, and I agree with everyone else - you are a saint for sure. St. Aly! How does that sound?

Sue, I think you have coined another name for our Pet Talk dictionary - "puppette." I love it!!!!

Oh what an awful scare that must have been! Glad everything's ok and hopefully you can get some rest now that they're on 3-4 hours instead of 2. Michael's having a fit to see pics, so whenever you post new pics, I call him at work and tell him to log on and see them. He keeps asking can't we have Piper?

I hope that woman that sold the dog gets her karma back thousands worse! Poor mama dog, wondering where her babies are. I'm so glad everyone was able to help all the babies. At least there's some good coming out of this.

I have raised so many newborn kittens, and rat babies, but never had the chance to raise puppies. They are just adorable!

What kind of person would throw them away? My god, did someone call the cops on her at all? Some people, I swear. Hope they get really fat soon!

I have had some of my kittens, especially my older rescue River have milk come out their nose before. They eat too fast and it happens. I know how scary it can though, but I think you handled it well.

Can't wait to see more pics!

How in heaven's name are you ever going to be able to let these two babies go? They are like your very own now - right?

Boy, I sure would like my nephew to have one to go with his five year old black lab, Mingus!
