This happened in New York City a while ago, and despite all the objections and people voiciferously opposing it, it still went through. It is now illegal to own any pets besides cats or dogs in the 5 boroughs of NYC.

So many animals have lost their lives over this - iguanas have been found abandoned in Central Park, etc..

It's sickening and it has to be stopped. I'll do all I can, and I will let all of my other friends with reptiles know about this.
