I have a gerbil, and what I like to do sometimes is take a toilet paper roll, then get some treats and roll it up in toilet paper then stick it inside the toilet paper roll...it keeps them occupied for a while I also have a coconut in her cage..I bought it then cut a hole in it then took all the coconut out from inside...she loves to go in there and take a nap and its good for gnawing on.
