Don't worry too much about Katie...my sister's older cat was fourteen, when suddenly that youngster of 18 weeks entered "her home"...but that grumpy old lady turned into a mellow granny after quite some time...
they are not too close, but it is sooo cute that whenever Mulle (the new cat) is in danger big ole Moni dashes to protect her...

Your Chipper is such a great addition and maybe he'll mellow Katie so she can fully enjoy her senior life!!! (Which will be hopefully very very very long!)
