It was an antibiotic spray to treat a skin condition and was not PhotoShopped. The chemicals reacted with her fur and turned her purple. Her caregivers have to keep her out of the water and isolated from her mate until the medication clears up her skin condition and then she'll be allowed be back with her mate. He's sulking at the separation right now - poor bear. Normal Polar Bear swimming and bathing and will make her lose her punk rock do. I saw this pic last week and thought it was an unfortunate side effect of nurturing an ailing animal.
