Actually that happens here all the time. I've been here for 15 years and when I get busy I don't have time to be going around saying hello to everyone. I will acknowledge someone if I pass by them or in the elevator but if they don't acknowledge me I really don't care. And I refuse to participate in any pot luck lunches, staff meetings, baby showers, or any other morale boosters. I have not attended the Christmas lunch in 10 years or plan to do so in the future. I work with these people, why do I want to socialize with them.
I know I'm getting away from your topic of discussion but, hey, this is my rant now.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!
