the hall is a wallpaper (stone pattern) half way up the wall. On top of it is a wallpaper border of ivy pattern. The top half of the wall is just painted. What you don't see is that stencilled up from the ivy border around all the doorway openings is also an ivy pattern. All done by yours truly......ME. I also have framed pictures running down the hall, both sides, on the painted portion. All of cats, and actually, all FREE calendar pictures, but REALLY special art-like pictures.
