I can relate to the tugging and pulling and Bella wears a Halti (similar to a Gentle Leader) for this reason too. One time (before the Halti) as we were getting out of the car she somehow got behind me and I did a pirouette (sp?) like a ballerina and I almost wound up on the ground! Of course one always looks around at a time like that (when they feel like a fool) to see who might have been watching! LOL!

I have decided, though, that I will be taking her through obedience school in September, as I have done with my other dogs in the past. This is one area I would really like to work on. I have practiced with her with a choker collar and the gagging sounds are too horrible to continue for very long. The little "choker corrections" don't work at all with her when I am anywhere other than the back yard which is not where I need her to be good. Hopefully they will be able to help me.

I am so sorry about your finger. I have said this before but I do believe dogs should come with warning labels "play with me at your own risk!" LOL! Hope your finger heals quickly. What a shame! (Glad you can still type - we look forward to updates! )
