I am so very glad that someone started this thread. I have been wanting to but was nervous about it. Also I didn't know about dictionary.com so that is now properly bookmarked. I too do not mind the occasional typo or even several if I can tell the person is making an attempt. There are many times my fingers get all tangled with one another and I don't realize it till I have hit "submit reply". I am in such a hurry to get my thought out there I can't wait. *LOL*

However, that being said, I really can not stand chat speak. I stop reading posts and usually tend to discount what people have to say who use this. I did not care for this in the chat rooms I used and I really do not care for it in this forum. My opinion is if you do not have the respect for me to spend the time it takes to type out those long words like...you, see, are etc then why should I have respect for you and take the time to read your post.
