Thanks everyone for the well wishes! I had a marvelous day with my family. My son's birthday is the day before mine and he turned 13! I don't know if I'm ready for the adventure of having a teenager around again. Our older son (now 26) put many gray hairs on my head when he was one. I guess now I will be completely gray! LOL

I miss everyone at Pet Talk too! I would like to post or even get the chance to lurk more but I get up at 6:30 am everyday and just go go go until dark and it doesn't seem like I make much headway. I am not sure how I balanced it when I had a steady job.

I am finding that starting your own business is very difficult. I never knew there could be so many snags. With the slowing economy it is making it more difficult to get the doggie daycare clientel than I originally thought. Obedience school is booming though. Lot's of variety in the dogs we are getting but it is wonderful. In addition to being able to help people train their dogs, I am getting an immense education of animal behavior. Let's just say there is never a dull moment.

Dixie and Dusty send hugs to everyone. Last weekend Dusty got his first title (CD - Companion Dog) in obedience. He finished his title with an impressive 192 1/2 out of a 200 for a first place finish and his momma Dixie got another title for hunting! It was a wonderful weekend!

Thank you all again for the wishes and thanks to Karen (KYS) for emailing me and alerting me to this post! I hope things slow down in the future enough to be able to post on a regular basis. I miss all the Pet Talk!!
