I'm heading out Saturday with Oz, on an 11 hour car ride,
to meet up with a friend in Arkansas for a backcountry
backpacking trip. I know I'm going to have to make frequent
stops to go to the bathroom and I haven't seen a reststop
yet that'll let you bring a pet into the bathroom. I'm too
cynical about people to leave him tried under a shade tree,
while I go in real quick, because I'm afraid someone would
steal him.

I guess I could break the rules and just take him into the
bathroom with me. I hate doing that though. Dogs already
get a bum rap from non-dog folks, without taking them places
it specifically says they aren't allowed.

So I think I'm going to take 2 sets of car keys and lock Oz in the
car, with the engine running and the a/c on. Just hope my
engine is loud enough that people realize he's not locked in
a hot car and bust my window open. Maybe I should make a
sign.
