Thank you all for your words of encouragement. It took me 5 hours to get the virus off my computer and another 5 to get things in working order again. I lost so much, its unbelievable. The thing that I hate is I kept meaning to burn everything to CDs for backup but I've been so swamped lately I guess I learned my lesson. This has been more frusterating than the chernobyl virus I got 3 years ago (even though I lost EVERYTHING in that one). The worst part of this one was the hateful hidden messages I kept finding

lizbud - I couldn't restore my files because the virus actually overwrites them. So I was staring at them but there was no way to ever get them back since they were overwritten...frusterating!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

3-greys - Ack, I've never really liked Gateway but wow, I can't believe that happened. I'll spread the word too.
