In my area alot of people look at the postings at the college. I would just find lots of bulletin boards in places like that, or at petshops and shelters where people might look. Have the little phone number tabs.

I know it's more difficult, but it's better for the kittens to have a home that's been checked somewhat, and it's better for you so atleast you don't have to feel guilt later on, and you'll know that the babies are well taken care of. It's like adopting out a child, I certainly wouldn't want my child being taken by someone I don't know at all. I'd want to do a background check.
