well, they are a low maintenance pet, needing a change of litter once aweek , fresh water at all times, and things to chew, because like rabbits, their teeth grow continually. mine will eat almost anything, including strawberries, apples, celery, squash, etc. Mostly though, he eats pellets, and fresh hay . They don't care for loud noises, or any zaniness, so we have a small plastic igloo which Ratsky will hide under, for a little privacy
