I have PetCare insurance for my two. The cats came with a free 3 months of Shelter Care Insurance and I just converted it to a regular PetCare policy. At less than $10 per cat per month, I figure it's well worth it if any of my cats should become seriously ill or injured. I spent over $2,000 in a couple of months with Goldie's cancer and don't want to repeat that experience. It doesn't cover normal "maintenance" like yearly vaccinations or even dental care, but it does cover bites (wounds, abscesses), lacerations, urinary tract diseases, cancer, diabetes, infectious diseases, foreign body ingestion (string, etc.), burns, fractures, asthma, poison ingestion, and the medications used to treat these conditions. It just gives me peace of mind to know I have it; I just hope I never need it.
