Hey, thanks for your kind words about my own Bedlington. I am so happy for you in the fact that your Bedlington lived for so long. They are the most amazing dogs.
Mine was named "Princess" - and she would save the underdog, if I raised my voice at my daughter,( like 'Do you want a smack?') the dog would be there protecting her against me.
When I was in bed at night, the dog had her basket beside me......and if my daughter came to the door, the dog would be on my chest saving me from anyone who was coming through that door.
My hubby bought me home from hospital after a major op. once ,and 'Princess' fought him while he was trying to put me to bed.......he had to shoo her out.
Oh!,(this is funny) ......in the middle of the night, when hubby had to use the en-suite, she would not let him out, he used to have to throw things at me to wake me up to save him ( I wear ear plugs as he snores, so don't hear anything).
Then I lost her,.....I loved her more than life itself, I loved her more than living,,,,,,,,, and had a break down after having her die in my arms - my daughter was there at that moment too.
I am glad you have the Airedales, as they are wonderful Terriers too. Regards, Mich
