I'll have to find the song about Paddy the construction worker. Basically, the story is that he needs to get a lot of bricks up to the top of a building, and doesn't want to carry them in his hod up and down the ladder. So he rigs up this rope and barrel arrangement, and the misfortunes thereof are the gist of the song. It was very popular at RPI. A folksinger called Steven Baird used to sing it.
