Medicines/vacations can be such a life saving thing that is hard to remember that there can be side effects or a downside. You had no way of knowing this would happne and you were doing what was best for your baby...making sure she didn't get heartworm.

Try to stay positive...you were there when it happened, you got her treatment quickly and you are close to MSU. Their vet programs is one of the best. I'm sure Kia is getting the best care possible.
