The thing that got me into herding dogs was that my mom's dog was a cocker spaniel/collie mix and she was great. I just loved everything about her so when i foudn out there was a breed sort of like her, I researched it and eventually fell in love witht he breed. I also realized that a Sheltie would be perfect for our lifestyle. When we visited the shelters, I originally wanted a Sheltie mix but by the end, turned to a breeder to get a pure. I just love the breed so much.

When I get older (and become more an experienced dog-owner-as Mick was my first pup) I would prefer that the dogs choose me.
