How's Lucky doing today?
How's Lucky doing today?
Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) is a full management plan in which stray and feral cats already living outdoors in cities, towns, and rural areas are humanely trapped, then evaluated, vaccinated, and sterilized by veterinarians. Kittens and tame cats are adopted into good homes. Healthy adult cats too wild to be adopted are returned to their familiar habitat under the lifelong care of volunteers
Well, today Lucky seems to be doing really well. I guess this whole ordeal was my fault![]()
Apparently the Science Diet, Nature's Blend has a lot of sodium (salt) in it, and when mixed with his diuretic, that will cause a reaction! Now that I found this out the hard way!!
His specialist, Dr. G. called me last night and to be sure it is just the food and not the medication, he is taking Lucky off of the diuretic () for a week. Cross your fingers that his fluid does NOT come back!! After a week, and hopefully after the rash and vomiting have settled down, we will put him back on the medication. If the rash or vomiting come back, then it is the medication.
Both of us feel that it was just the food..........now time will tell.
I am such a bad mommy for feeding him the wrong food!! I feel terrible that I got him sick. BUT.......I also learned something from all of this!
Bunny & Kitties:
Taz - F (7); Majerle - M (4) & Loki - M (8 months)
(pronounced: Marley).
Poor Lucky - paws crossed this side of the 'pond' for a very quick recovery and hopefully your Meowmie will stop blaming herself - things happen! {{{Hugs}}} to you both.
