That's my biggest fear, in my back yard. Right after I bought my house and got owen it happened to a friend. The gas company left the gate open. My friends dog got out, and hit by a car....
After that I put up a beware of dog sign, and a padlock. Service companies have to call me when they want to come into my back yard...

Thank goodness all three are ok! That's my biggest fear, someone (usually a workman) forgetting to shut/lock the gates! Cody and Star are chipped and wear their collars all day, just in case! And I'm not surprised they weren't inclined to venture far from home! They're living the good life!
