Mew, meeoow -- you are such a sweet little Cat of the Day -- I love it that your purrsons rescued you! I also am a rescued cat who adopted her KatMa. At the time I did that there were other pets (and we're all special and the best, aren't we?) who had adopted KatMa & KatDad. Bobby, the dog was already 16 years old and Paddy Paws (a handsome boy cat) was nearing 14 1/2; Tiggy [king of KatMa's heart] who KatMa called The Best Cat in the Universe was turning 10 and Princess (another little lady) had just turned nine. I had just turned one and had five little babies. That was in 1995.

KatMa adopted me & became my kittens' grandma. She took care of us all and found homes for my five babies! KatMa brought me in to the house and I lived in the basement apartment until it was safe to let me near the other pets. Unfortunately for KatMa her beloved Paddy Paws passed away in January 1996 and to hurt KatMa even more, Bobby the dog crossed over Rainbow Bridge September 1996. KatMa cried so much and will always miss her sweethearts.

I continued living in the bachelor apartment because Princess was terrified of moi -- and Tiggy was the King of the House. He didn't want me anywhere near his Mommy.

On September 5, 2000 when Tiggy was 15 years old, he also crossed over Rainbow Bridge. Princess followed the next year, October 4, 2001. KatMa is still in deep mourning. She said sweet dogs & cats should live as long as their purrsons... I am the only angel left now, and so I still keep my apartment but am the ruling cat of the whole house (all 10 1/2 rooms). I sleep with my KatMa and KatDad every night. We have a big king-sized bed, so all of us have plenty of room.
