I picked up the prescription today, and talked to the vet. She asked me if Abbey was acting different at all, and I said YES, she is so hyper it's not even funny!!! That is good news, because sometimes the infection can cause them to be lethargic and just not feeling well. She was very glad to hear that Abbey is going for long walks and runs, and running around the house and playing.
What she has is a bacteria called pseudomonias--it's common for dog bites apparently, and the anitbiotic should clear it up and she will be fine.
She also has an appointment on Thursday to get those awful stitches removed, so that will be good!!
