Despite spats, neither cat really seems to be out for blood.
Last night Little Boy Boba was out and about while I was getting ready for bed. He was quite vocal, meowing at me, but shying away if I reached to pet him.
Zam was on the other side, letting me know she wanted in. Boba would sniff at the door, all the while purring.
Hoping for a miracle
I let Zam in.
Boba bolted towards the window, Zam in hot pursuit, me pleading with Zam to not pick on him.
Backed against the window sill, Boba growled and made airplane ears at Zam. Zam stood imposingly over him, and then backed off. I sat between them, petting them both, causing them both to purr.
I gave them each a kiss goodnight in turn and went to bed to read for awhile. Kia joined me shortly after and then Boba came into view, laying down by the nightstand, purring VERY loudly.
Zam and Boba could see each other from across the room, but neither made an attempt to go after the other.
Zam slowly stalked him though and about an hour after I turned off the light, she made her move and I woke up to a scuffle.
I would expect by now that they would of come to terms that she's in charge. He never challenges her. She has always been the one to pounce. No wonder he growls at her.
But things have been getting better. As long as Kia keeps her distance, Boba doesn't seem to mind her.
Since they both eat the same food now, I left the door open for Zam and Boba to interact while I'm at work.
