Soledad, I think it may be a little premature to say that we have "forgotten" about bin Laden. It may not be in the mainstream media or posted on the net, but I have a feeling that the right people know exactly what's going on with him....that's assuming that he IS still alive and the tapes aren't old. We just don't know for sure. You know, I'm not a violent person...just ask Mike, but, those 2 nutsos need to be taken out so they can't do any more damage to the world.

Apology accepted Soledad, I kind of figured that was why you had reacted the way you did. I guess we both need to get a little tougher skin eh?
    Cool.

On other matters, I just don't think the government is focused on actually getting Bin Laden. He terrifies me and I don't understand the delay in taking him out. I would have preferred to have that man "sorted out" before we went into Iraq.

I think we can agree on that one! He is just the definition of evil to me. Although, Saddam isn't very far behind, if at all, I'd say it's neck and neck with a photo finish.

Bin Laden and people like him scare me,
and need to be delt swiftley before it is to late.
I also believe our governments have not forgotten
    Bin Laden.

they scare me too, with all the weapons there are out there these days, thats why I think we had to have the war, to get rid of them, and not just to keep being a doormat. I am scared of the consequences, but I still think there are more out there that need to be removed from power! it doesn't mean they have given up on finding bin laden.

Getting rid of Osama should have been priority #1 after 9-11. The fact that he is still running around free and that al-Qaeda cells are still running is sickening!!

In "my" opinion getting rid of Bin Laudin and other's like
him should have been top priority years ago.
Al-Quada cells and other terrorists cells are all around the
    world today including the USA.
Cutting off their funds is one way to slow them down,
but In order to try to get rid of them you need the support/help
    of other governments.

What about ours/and other countries borders and what about in home security? Obviously It is not so easy to stop people
from comming and living in ones country.
In the USA we have laws protecting the rights
    of these very same people.

(It only takes one bullet to do away with Bin Laudin,
and maybe we lost our chance when we had it?
One day he will make a mistake, and that bullet
    will reach him.)

the part that makes me laugh is i am sure he'd prefer a bullet just about now....think about camping for the last 19 months....

    i can't go past 5 days....

    Cave, sweet Cave....

hopefully it won't be a bullet, altho i think half the US would pitch in to buy it......i vote for some insidious, body rotting, disease that leaves him wishing for that american bullet.....

*scratches head* What has the WW2 thread to do with this discussion marysmerrycats? I fail to see the relevance. Sides, I kept quiet when Paul closed that thread, even though I felt it was unfair (isn't this forum supposedly made for controversial topics?). So why can you talk about? And just what was the point of copying and pasting the whole thing over again? The thread is still there, just closed! I posted that thread, hoping for an interesting discussion, nothing more and nothing less. If anyone wants to get a rise out of people it sure seems to be you, calling other people's opinions "dribble" and brining up old discussions with no relevance to the topic at hand.

Ann, there has been so much talk lately about how much like Hitler and the Nazis that Saddam and bin Laden are that I don't think that it's totally unrelated.

As far as I'm concerned, anyone who is/was loyal to either regime does not nor ever will deserve a pardon.

Like Robin Williams said. Can't find bin Laden? I don't get it, a 6 foot 7 inch man wearing a colostomy bag...how f'ing hard is that to find?? lol
