I would never allow Nakita out without a harness. There is no way a cat can get out of this harness, at least in my experience. And Nakita is such a skinny mite that she could easily squirm her way out of all the other leash type walkers.Originally posted by IttyBittyKitty

Some cats take to the harness and others do the belly flop to the ground and won't move!I think it's also easier to get a younger cat used to this than an older cat.
I started Nakita on the harness very slowly and with lots of play and treats. Then I attached the leash and walked her around the house so she could get the feel of it. This was during the winter, so we had a lot of practise time!
You have to have patience and make it a fun experience! Nakita doesn't have a problem at all with the harness or leash!
