I sympathize with your "smelly" problems. The least expensive and VERY effective way to get rid of urine smells (so you and kitty won't smell it anymore) is white vinegar. It can also be used to wash your litter boxes.
I think your couch is a lost cause though as the urine would have soaked all the way through.
