I just spoke with Lorraine on the phone. She has a few new inquiries about Jake that she is following up on. She said he will not be returned to the shelter but fostered until he finds his forever home. She mentioned that she had been in touch with you and is agreeable to doing a transport if it should come down to that. In fact she told me that they recently had taken some dogs from Indiana and found them forever homes here in NJ. Jake apparently, being a senior guy, can't always "hold it" well and needs to be let out frequently, although he does fine in his crate. I guess we are in a holding pattern for a bit here. Let's all keep our fingers crossed for a happy positive ending to this story.
