My friend used to breed her rats, (well, tryShe had 28 babies total, hers, my Roxys and her sisters. She had pinkies, 1 week olds and 2 week olds lol. We only lost three and they were the runts....one died after weaning from a neurological disorder. But anyways, she had tons of milk and all the rest grew up healthy and happy. End of story lol.) and one of them had kittens around the same time her mouse also gave birth.
But her rats, for some reason, always abandoned their babies. She was always very careful not to stress them out, or touch them too soon, so we thought that it was odd![]()
So she gave those 3 rat babies to her mouse, who of course, being a motherly mouse, took them in. They nursed with her the whole day, but she must not have had enough milk, because when my friend came home a couple days after, the rat kittens were pushed aside, deadIt was really sad

I hope I have no problems with that happening.Although I've heard many stories of animals, even fixed ones, lactating for other animals, and so I always think that would be cool to happen incase one of my girls abandons her kittens
