My friend's senior Vizsla suffered from VS. She did have a permanent head tilt, but was able to live for several years with this condition without difficulty, thoroughly enjoying life. She passed away in her sleep at age 16. From all I have read, this is not a fatal condition. Often it will resolve itself. But if not, most dogs can live happy lives despite the diagnosis.
