Dearest Rosie, you are a lovely, very vocal girl. My Bill was not abused (we think) but was feral for the first six months of his life, so he is very shy, too, and runs when the doorbell rings. He, however, is NOT vocal. For such a burly boycat, he has a very sweet, high, soft meow that he seldom uses, but when he does, all are charmed. His purr, however, is as burly as he is.
