I won't disturb her too much during the birthing process, especially since she is a first time mother. Rats rarely eat their young. I handle all my babies shortly after birth to make sure theit cords have been cut, they have been properly cleaned and check to see if milk bands are visible.

I have bred several litters, I know what I am doing. This litter is very exciting for me because both of the parents have such sweet temperaments and are very healthy.
