That's what the Quran says too, and I'm sticking to it. The egg couldn't hatch without a chicken sitting on it. The chicken came first, just like Adam came before the babies. If everything started as an egg, it would never have survived, and none of us would even be in existance!

The chicken came first! No doubt in my mind!

The chicken came first. I am pretty sure. God made all of the animals from saying a simple sentence. Then, there were animals. INCLUDING chickens. He didn't make an egg first. He put the chicken on the earth with her rooster buddy so that she could LAY eggs and make more chickens. Does that clear everything now?

The Chicken, somebody had to sit on the egg to get it to hatch, and I kinda doubt the Easter Bunny sit on the egg.

Thank You, kittycats_delight for my new siggy!!!

    THE CHICKEN.....

You HAVE to walk past the meat counter before you see the milk/egg fridges in the store that I patronize.

An interesting question.. In the movie "Angel Heart" it was mentioned that some religions use the egg as a symbol for the soul.

Creatures were laying eggs millions of years before there were chickens.

The first chicken hatched in a nest of similar birds and was raised like the swan in the "ugly duckling" story.

Popcorn- It is not a choice between religion and science. Personal beliefs come from a melding of seemingly contradictory evidence. You are the Crown of Creation!

Eeeeewww, I had forgotten all about that movie until you mentioned it! Man, that dude was CREEEPY! When I used to have a "real" job, we had a group of auditors come in from our corporate office. The main auditor looked JUST like that creepy guy in Angel Heart ... eeewww, eeewww, eeewwww.

    Ooooops, off topic.

Yeah, it was Robert Dinero playing the Devil, Mickey Rourke as the PI and Lisa Bonet as the voodoo child.

You are not really off the subject, chickens played a big part too, if I remember right.
