Yes, I thought that too, Pam....

Staci, Um...lets see, who came up with that name?? I think it was this really sweet person I chat with. Thank you!! And guess who came up with his middle name? (you are going to laugh when you hear it)...auntie Naomi.... Micah Jacob!

Well, he's still very scared, so no pictures yet. But...I'll gladly tell everyone what happened today.

We got to the shelter and I of course, went straight to Mike's cage. He was behind the ropes where 'regular' people aren't able to go, but was playing and getting petted by one of the employees. They let me back there and I sat in the place of the girl and pet and played with him for over an hour. He was SO different from last weekend!! Know what they said? It was cause of what we did last week! Isn't that sweet???

Anyway, David and I discussed it, I promised him, God and the shelter that it would be our last kitty! So, now I really can't get more, no lying to God!

So, off we went to play with the pups and other kitties and then at about 2:00, adopted Micah.

He was really good in the car until we got 5 minutes from home. He got out of his carrier (David had it open so he could see) and got UNDER my feet while I was driving. But, we pulled over and David held him real close and tight and he was fine. Turned out, he had a small accident in his cardboard carrier.

We got him home and put him in our bedroom and he hid under the bed. We left him alone for about an hour and saw that he did use the litter box a few times, he still is having some
'poop' issues. But, he's healthy.

We went out tonight and came back to him laying luxurously on our down comforter on our bed. He stayed for about 30 seconds and dove under the bed again. We went into the living room for a few minutes and David went to bed and said he was on the bed again.

Poor little guy, he's so scared. But, I think it'll work out.

I promise to share pictures as soon as he's out long enough for them.
