Since I've gotten older, I'm now 40, my periods seem to be getting heavier. My mom and grandma also had this problem and they both had to have hysterectomy's. My mom was around 40 when she had hers. I hope I don't have to go through this. I tried the depo provera shots for about a year. It took me 6 months to completely stop having my period and then I didn't like the side effects. I was always hungry and so I gained weight. My face also broke out much more than normal. So I stopped and then it took me another 6 months to start my period again. The birth contol pills that I've tried have made me feel depressed so I really don't want to go on those again. Oh well, I guess I can stand another 5-10 years of having my period.
I also forgot to mention that I never dated or had a boyfriend during my middle school or high school years. Boys just weren't interested in me. I didn't date until I was about 18 and had my first boyfriend at age 22. I guess I'm what some would call a late bloomer. I've always done things much later than most people. I also haven't been in a relationship since I was 28 years old. I'm so used to not being in a relationship that it doesn't really bother me at all. I'm very happy with my 3 furkids.![]()
