This is a fun thread.
I remember just if it were yesturday.

I was not allowed to shave my legs, till I
was 12 1/2, when a boy made fun of me at school.
(public schools back than would not let girls wear pants,
and in homeroom every morning.
the teacher would measure the
distance from our knee to the bottom of our skirts
to make sure our skirts were not to short.)

I wanted to wear lipstick when I was 13 years old,
and my mom said no unless Ann Landers
said it was ok. So I wrote to Ann Landers news colume
and she wrote me back with a NO!
So lipstick wasn't allowed till I was
14 years old.

When I was 15, the public schools change the dress codes
and I took full advantage.
When I was 15 my mother let me wear make up,
and short skirts.
I used to use proxide to make highlights in my hair.
I was not allowed to date till I was 16.
I did not officially date till I was 18 anyway.

Yep, I remember those days.
