With the 20 questions he was spewing, I'd have been suspicious too. It's too bad that the world has come to this. But you have every right to feel the way you do.
I got the sense he was harmless...yet weird. He had bit of a Southern accent and some of his questions had the sound like he wasn't from around here but then he'd do a 380 and ask a question and sound like he was from around here.

I got the feeling he was a single Dad. His boys were older than a child but younger than teens. I'd guess 9 and 12. I know how kids are and they never once mentioned, "Mom's gonna be mad at you."

It couldn't be fixed, but I planned on replacing my tires soon anyway. The plug where I had a nail hole fixed from when we BOTH had flat tires on the same day, , had got condensation in it and the rubber stretched.
