You are a hero for this bird, rescuing her poor self from those awful conditions! 4 years with no human contact is horrible. Why have a pet if you're going to have nothing to do with them?It will definitely take time for her to trust you. For any animal that has been declined human love for 4 years, it would be a long time job that requires lots of patience to get her to love people. Hopefully, she will get over the fear and come to love people, but it may take time. I'm going to go over to the cockatiel board I'm on (that has many cockatoo mommies) and ask for advise, that I will copy and paste for you, either here or in a PM. I hope they'll be able to offer some good advise. Thanks for giving this bird a light of hope, and a new loving home. She certainly deserved a home like this.
