Candy, your puppies with their flags are precious.
As for the war, President Eisenhower, who could not be said to be unpatriotic and who, as Commander in Chief of the Allied Forces in WW II, knew the ravages of war first hand said:
"Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies in the final sense a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed. This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientist, the hopes of its children. This is not a way of life at all in any true sense. Under the clouds of war, it is humanity hanging on a cross of iron."
Regardless of what one's opinion of this war is, those words are true for all times.
The best way to support the men and women in the front is to pray for them to return safe and soon to their anxious families.
