Thread: Break in at the cat food bag...

  1. #16
Could have been Bella or maybe Ripley...afterall his name starts with the word, RIP! But from experience...Trevor has broken into a box of Dunkin Donuts and smuggled out a donut too...sooo, i think signs point to Trevor...ehehehhe

The only reason I didn't think of the dogs is because the bag was on the table. But, then again, you have shown us Ripley's picture, on the picnic table..........

hmmmmmm, perhaps Mr. Trevor isn't to blame after all!!!!

HeHe! You all have very good investigative minds! At the risk of accusing Trevor unjustly I had to work on the process of elimination. Andy could not be capable of such a dastardly deed. He eats to live, whereas Trevor lives to eat! Bella is certainly capable of doing very naughty things and I wouldn't rule her out except that I think she wouldn't have been able to make the almost surgical opening the the bag. Ripley also was considered a potential suspect, due to his picnic table adventure that Logan mentioned, however all of the chairs were pushed in so he had no easy route onto the table. Yes, I am afraid the finger is pointing very much in Trev's direction. He has been known also to grab a slice of roast beef off the table once when I was out of the room and then there was that cream donut... I am afraid he is a shameless thief.

It sounds VERY possible to me, and has checked whether any neighboring animals were visiting during the time in question?

    LOL
it would appear there are more than one of those thieves roaming around...I have seen bags of food that look like that too, even with the bowl of the same food nearby!

LOL The things that cats will get into. So this kind of thing doesn't happen at my house, I put my cats food in two storage containers that lock very tightly. The storage containers keep the food fresh and they also keep out furry paws too. Pam, if you don't already have one you may need to buy one of these to help keep Trevor out of trouble.

Thanks KAK. Actually I keep their food in a sealed Rubbermaid container but my lazy old self had just not gotten around to pouring it in there. I also have a nice large tin for Bella's and Ripley's food that was free with my dog food purchase quite some time ago. Unfortunately any food that enters this house must be sealed!
