Oh boy, another birdie on PT!Welcome! I have two sweet cockatiels, Popcorn and Muffin. You can see them in my signature. When I just got my birds, they used to bite, but now they are perfect angels and NEVER bite at all! Its like they don't even know how any more! You mentioned your bird is now starting to come on your finger and shoulder, so I believe you're in the right track. The biting should go away with time. Remember, he's new, and still adjusting to his new home and new mommy! When my birds used to bite, what I would do was gently hold their beak, and move it to the side, saying NO at the same time. They got the idea! Now whenever I say NO, they know they have to stop what they are doing! Birds are very intelligent, so they learn fast. I would love to see a picture of your bird!
