Thank you both. I am kinda pushing my luck as it is right now. She is here with me at home in my apartment. The landlord is kind of turning his head away for the time being, trying to buy me some time, but if the owners found out, he could be in big trouble.
The Purebred rescue finally got a hold of me last night. But, Shasta seems to be developing a problem of some sort, as she is leaking urine when she sleeps. She is otherwise healthy and active, and the vet said that her blood work is normal, but her urine has a high amount of proteins in it. We are giving her phenylpropanolamine for now, and in two weeks we will check her urine again to see if there is an bladder infection develping. The other thing it could be is extreamly early kidney problems, or she is coming in heat extreamly early (I have never had the money to spay her, so have just taken extream care that she never got bred). The rescue wants to wait until she gets retested before they will decide if they can take her.
I may try to have another friend take her for the two weeks so my landlord doesn't get in trouble, but her husband won't let Shasta stay for too long. I am thinking by the 1st we will know if the rescue can take her. If not, I will have to send her to the shelter.
Job 12:7-10 : But ask the animals and they will teach you, or the birds of the air, and they will tell you; or speak to the earth, and it will teach you, or let the fish of the sea inform you, which of all these does not know, that the hand of the Lord has done this? In His hand is the life of every creature and the breath of all mankind. (NIV)
