Some adults get a dog just to keep their kids from whining
about getting one. Seems the focus should be on how to make
the animal's life better and as a side benefit, improve your own
happiness. So sad when the animal is the one who loses when
things are'nt looked at realistically beforehand. It would prevent
a lot of misery & heartache for animals & people.
