Welcome Cincy’s Mom and Miss Meow (BTW congratulations you got a letter to guess )

Most im-ortant of all creatures to the coast Indian -eo-les was Ra-en. It was Ra-en = the Transformer, the cultural hero, the
tric-ster, the -i- Man (he too- many forms to many -eo-les) = who created the world. He -ut the sun, moon and stars into the s-y, fish into the sea, salmon into the ri-ers, and food onto the land; he manoeu-red the tides to assure daily acces to -each resources. Ra-en -a-e -eo-le fire and water, -laced the ri-ers, la-es and cedar trees o-er the land, and -eo-le the earth.
Full of ma-ical, su-ernatural -ower, Ra-en could turn himself into anythin- at any time. He could di-e -eneath the sea, ascend into the s-y, or ma-e anythin- ha--en -y willin- it. His le-endary antics were often moti-ated -y insatia-le -reed, and lo-e to tease, to cheat, to woo, and to tric-. -ut all often were turned on to ha-less Ra-en
