Well a lot of shelter people do not know specific breeds so it would be a good idea to take a drive down there and look youself. You may also want to look at their dead animal list, which is animals they picked up already dead, like hit by cats etc.



Perhaps you can sell the house when it's yours and move to a safer neighborhood.
