You should feed as high a quality 'kitten' food that your budget allows. The dry food should be moistened with a little water and can be heated up just before serving. You can also give some canned food, but most people prefer to free feed with dry food. Again, it's important that you do use kitten food rather than cat food because of the different nutritional makeup.

If necessary, you can heat the food up a bit before serving. This will make the scent of the food stronger. I only suggest this in case the kitten doesn't eat it at first.

And please avoid giving the kitten milk. Usually their stomachs will be upset by milk products.
