KYS, what good friends they are to take your friend to Crufts each year! It is such a pity that she has to miss it this year. As I wrote before there isn`t much coverage on tv, but even if there was I guess it wouldn`t really be much comfort to your friend. Please send her my best wishes for a speedy recovery.
I don`t know if there is any coverage for USA tv. Maybe not because, although the show is big and prestigious, it is only just recently that dog travel between our countries has been made easier, before that I think the restrictions made it difficult for Americans to bring their dogs to show.

There were two group results yesterday. The Working Group was won by a Newfoundland, with a Rottie second and Leonberger third.
The Pastoral Group was won by a Bearded Collie, an Old English Sheepdog was second and a Briard third.

I still don`t know how the hell the judges can choose one dog in these group things. I know I couldn`t! Best of breed, perhaps, because the dog are the same and there is a standard to follow, but the groups, no way! For instance last nights groups. Working Group includes Danes, Husky, Dobes, Mastifs, Boxers...... And the Pastoral includes Corgi, Rough and Smoth Collies, GSDs, Border Collie, Australian Shepard.... Could you judge? Impartially?
