~A Rescued Cat~


I *as once *orn to a lo*in* mother *ho cuddled and rendered to

my needs. Soon, I *as introduced to another, *ho said *e *ill no*

tend to your needs. Li*e *as *ood , I had all I could *ish *or *ith

lots o* toys and special *eeds.

Then one day, I *as li*ted up and carried a*ay. I *as sat do*n and

le*t to ma*e my o*n *ay. I loo*ed around and *ound I had no

place to stay. I soon *elt the harshness o* natures day. I *al*ed

and *al*ed loo*in* *or the one *ho said I *as special, *antin* to

play. Day turned into ni*ht, I *as ta*en *ith *ri*ht, *hat *as I *oin*

to do this ni*ht?

I *ound an old *o*, cra*led in and settled *o*n to *ait, hopin*

they *ould appear in si*ht. Ni*ht turned into day, I *as still *ith

*ri*ht, *ut my *elly *as ti*ht. I *ne* it *as time *or my *rea**ast.

I *aited and hoped *or them to come *ac* and say it *ill *e all

ri*ht. The days turned into *ee*s, some days I *elt so *ea*. I

tra*eled and hunted loo*in* *or a treat. I tried to *e* *or help, *ut

all I *ot *as a *ic* as I silently cried, *hy? I don't understand, I

*as once told that you are my litte man, no* it's all I can do to

stand. Some days I *eep as I lon* *or a sa*e place to sleep. I

pray that some days I *ill *ind enou*h to eat. I run and *i*ht. I

dod*e and creep.

Then one day I hear a *oice say, come here little stray, I *ill help

you *ind a place to stay. I run a*raid loo*in* *or a sa*e place to

hide. The *oice calls hi*h, don't *e a*raid I *ill help you little *u*.

I sit and *atch, *aitin* *or the *orst, *ut I'm o**ered a tin o* mil*

to help my thirst. The day *oes *y and to my surprise I *ind a

*o*l o* *ood piled hi*h. I eat *ith *lee, oh *ee *hy is she so nice

to me. Could it possi*ly *e she *ill lo*e me? I soon a*ain learn to

trust, as the *oice smoothes my soul and the hand *rooms my

coat that has *ecome dull, *here there *as once a *lo*. I hear the

*ords don't *e a*raid, I *ill ta*e you in and *i*e you a place to

lay. As I rela* my head and *ody to rest, I hear the *ords *o*

*less you little stray you no* ha*e a place to stay.
