Min is doing OK for now, but he has not eaten much today. The vet said that we should go the conservative route for the time being, and if he does not show improvement by Friday, then I'll take him back for complete blood work, x-ray & possible upper GI tests. I am hoping that he shakes out of this and he gets better. I think he'll be fineOriginally posted by wolflady
Poor Minion! I sure hope he gets to feeling better. Being pukey sick is just no fun!!
Do let us know what the vet says. I'm inclined to think he was one of those "sensitive" types and had a bad reaction to the Advantage.
Give him some lovins and scritchies for me! I hope he can keep his food down soon!![]()
They gave him sub cue fluids to help with possible dehydration and he had this huge, cold, swolen bubble of liquid under his skin around his shoulderblades and the big bubble of liquid sort of migrated down his leg, so now he has a huge pocket of liquid that jiggles when he moves. His leg kind of reminds me of a sumo wrestler, since it's all swolen and flabby looking from the fluids. They also took his temp and it was slightly elivated. They gave him an injection of anti nautious drugs, and I am to give him a dose every 8 hours for a couple of days. Tomorrow I will try feeding him 1/2 hour after I medicate him and hopefully he'll hold down his breakfast. If he holds it down, then I'll give him some more after his 2nd dose of meds after I get home from work tomorrow.
He was a very good boy and all the techs that were there tonight commented on how handsome and well behaved he wasThe vet was also surprised that he was so mellow. He's such a good boy and a very good patient
I love him so, so much, I get teary eyed thinking about him being sick.
Thanks for the well wishes. Min and I appreciate it.
Love and head bumpies from Leslie & Minion
